Blue Book Contract

Enforcement Priorities

After a year-long, hard-fought contract campaign, we secured a strong contract with improvements to wages, staffing, and accountability. By winning a record number of tentative agreements this bargaining cycle, we achieved stronger language that empowers us to protect our patients and deliver the world-class care our community deserves.

Winning the contract language was the first step, and now we must ensure it is properly enforced, applied, and understood in every unit, on every shift.

Our contract enforcement priorities are:

  • Staffing and Rest: Ensuring that nurses and health care professionals get appropriate, uninterrupted meal periods and breaks they are legally and contractually owed
  • Time-Off Access: Reducing barriers so nurses and health care professionals can utilize their hard-earned time-off and be able to plan for important life milestones
