| My name is Adia Gorham, and I am running for the position of DASH Secretary. I have been a Speech-Language Pathologist since 2007. I was introduced to the profession in high school by my mother, who encouraged me to explore the field after seeing the impact speech therapy had on my brother, who has a diagnosis of autism. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, earned my undergraduate degree from Temple University, and completed my graduate studies at Howard University. I began my career in skilled nursing facilities, then worked in D.C. Public Schools and LAUSD. In 2015, I joined Kaiser where I worked in both outpatient and inpatient settings. In 2018, I transitioned to the Kaiser South Bay Home Care department, where I continue to serve patients today. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my husband and two sons. I am running for DASH Secretary because I believe our voices as healthcare professionals matter. I am committed to transparency, organization, and ensuring that our concerns are heard and addressed. I would be honored to represent and advocate for my colleagues in this role. Thank you for your support. |
