| My name is JEEJEE LLANOS, and I’m running for UTSC Steward Coordinator. I’ve been an occupational therapist at Kaiser Permanente for 25 years—starting at Baldwin Park, then LAMC, and for the past 11 years in Orange County. I’ve worked across inpatient, outpatient, and Care at Home settings. In 2013, I helped advocate for therapists to unionize. Since our first contract in 2014, I’ve proudly served as a union steward. I’ve co-led Unit-Based Teams and participated in Labor Management Partnership committees to tackle workload, streamline workflows, support affordability, and enhance patient care. I’ve represented members as a delegate at UNAC UHCP, AFSCME, and APALA conventions. As a volunteer member organizer, I’ve attended summits, canvassed workers, and recruited new stewards and contract action team members. I bring extensive experience, dedication, and a strong passion to empower our members. As Steward Coordinator, I’ll mentor stewards, keep members informed and engaged, and foster unity to defend our rights and strengthen care. |
