Union Bargaining Team Submits Wage Proposal
March 2013On March 20, our Union took a bold and progressive step forward by handing management a wage grid proposal. Wendy Burrell, FVPA Co-Chair states, “This is big step and never has been done before.” This grid proposes increases for everyone in the bargaining group. Our proposal is designed to reward years of experience as a Registered Nurse and Professional.
Extensive research was done on current wage rates, area wage rates for comparable hospitals and positions. Our goal is to ensure that Fountain Valley attracts and retains the most skilled and committed workforce.
It has taken weeks of work to develop a proposal that ensured Fountain Valley would be competitive in the industry. We appreciate the input from those of you who attended bargaining.
