NLRB Dismisses Charges – In a recent ruling, UNAC/UHCP was cleared of any misconduct during the Chino Valley organizing campaign that preceded the Registered Nurses vote to unionize in April. Following the election victory the hospital, owned by Prime Healthcare Services, filed 29 objections with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) alleging UNAC/UHCP election misconduct. Bear Valley Negotiations – Jul/Aug’10 Voice
The Bear Valley Community Health Care District negotiations for a new agreement are progressing, though bargaining has extended beyond the current contract’s June 30, 2010 expiration. UNAC /UHCP anticipates a new agreement will be reached sometime in July.

Governor Jerry Brown announced late Tuesday he signed Senate Bill 98, the legislation reconstituting the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN). The entire board will be reappointed under the new bill.
