For the United Nurses, endorsing the right candidate had a special meaning this election year. With UNAC/UHCP Political Director Jimmy Gomez running for an LA-based seat in the State Assembly, his candidacy raised political participation from many nurses who helped power Gomez to a strong first place finish. “Having seen Jimmy’s commitment to nurses and patients through his work at UNAC/UHCP, I am proud to be a part of his campaign to represent us in Sacramento,” stated RN Tina Ang, from UNAC/UHCP’s Kaiser Sunset affiliate.
