June 14 Bargaining Update
RN Bargaining Team Improves Job Security
Today the RN Bargaining Team and St. Francis management reached agreement on:
* Discipline and Discharge
* Leaves of Absences
* Job Postings and Filling of Vacancies
We made improvement in the language, strengthening our rights and protections. Among the issues we won today, is the right to have disciplinary notices removed from our personnel files if we are “discipline free” for 18 months for verbal warnings and 24 months for written warnings. “The changes that we accomplished to the discipline article were significant and will affect many of our members positively “ said Sandi Marquez, SFRNA President.
The bargaining team and the dozens of members who attended today’s session had a special briefing on hospital financing and an overview of the St. Francis financial situation.
Tomorrow we will meet with St. Francis’ and Daughters of Charity financial team to review the hospital and system finances as we begin preparations for our economic proposals.
