With her retirement approaching, Kaiser RN Barbara Owens began preparing to spend more time as a volunteer. She completed training for the Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA, where children in the dependency system are paired with a trained advocate who makes recommendations to the court about their services and placement. She trained at a local animal shelter to volunteer weekly with dogs.Read More
SPNN participated in the Surfrider Foundation's annual Morning After Mess event - an effort that relies on volunteer groups to assist with beach cleanups after the July 4th holiday weekend.Read More

On May 13, we celebrated Nurses Week and Mother’s Day by hosting a brunch at Good Shepherd Shelter. We provided food, live music, donations, raffle prizes and entertainment for fifty women and their children.Read More
