UNAC/UHCP members have been barnstorming local grocery stores in support of United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) in the past month. UNAC/UHCP members from Kaiser Panorama City visited their adopted Ralphs. The Registered Nurses met with the store manager to voice solidarity with UFCW and discuss the tenor of bargaining thus far.

Kaiser RNs are patient advocates in accordance with the California Nursing Practice Act. Nurses screened hundreds of patients, and optometrists gazed into more than 200 eyeballs at this year’s African American Men’s Health and Empowerment Summit. Though the program is known as the Black Barbershop Outreach Program, this year’s event was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, a sign of its continued growth and success.
